How do I organize art supplies and other miscellaneous things?
So, I recently had cabinets installed in my son's play area. I have lots of space to put play-doh, bubbles, art supplies, games, etc but I've just been staring at empty cabinets for a couple of days now. I have no idea how to go about storing these things so that they can be easily taken out and put back in neatly. Any ideas?
I got these plastic shoeboxes from Bed, Bath, & Beyond. I also think you can get them from Walmart. I think 5 come in a pack and they cost $10. I put all the playdough in one box, all the markers in another, etc. Plus you can stick a label on them (like a picture of whatever is in the box). They are stackable and portable. I also stick some things in gallon sized plastic ziplock bags.

Bubble Bags For Archive and Transport of Fine Art
When it comes to safe, secure frame transport and/or archival storage of fine art, bubble bags are definitely the ideal solution. An art pouch lined with bubble wrap, such bubble bags will insure that your valuable art work arrives at its destination unharmed; it is the most effective gallery packaging available.
Bubble bags literally use air bubbles as cushioning, much like the bubble wrap that is used by the post office and private delivery companies. This material by the way is not the low-grade bubble wrap that many people get a kick out of popping. This is industrial-strength, 3/16" polyethylene, which is the industry standard for storing and archiving valuable works of art.
This type of art pouch is available in a couple of different styles as well as a wide variety of sizes. For example, there are bubble bags for frame transport that have flaps (think of a large envelope) at the "top" (the narrow side) as well as the "side" (the long side), allowing for flexibility when it comes to storage or transport. An additional option may include Velcro straps for sealing your artwork securely inside.
Bubble bags are available in over one hundred different sizes, shapes and styles. Not only are there art pouches for frame transport, you will find numerous shapes and sizes for transporting and storing three-dimensional statues, stained glass and fine porcelain. You will even find tube-shaped pouches for storing and transporting rolled prints and similar valuable objects.
If you have doubts about what kind of bubble bags you should get, you'll be glad to know that most online purveyors of such materials offer an online-calculator and other Web-based tools that will help you in determining the best sizes and shapes.
Another distinct advantage to using this type of protective gallery packaging becomes apparent when it's time to pay your insurance premiums. Whether you own and operate a gallery or are a homeowner with a rider for valuable collector art, your insurer will most likely offer substantial discounts on your monthly or bi-annual premiums when you use bubble bags for the transport and/or storage of your collection. Although you'll pay a bit more for high quality packing of this type, it is an investment that will definitely pay for itself when it comes to insurance costs – not to mention peach of mind.

Susan Slobac writes about--bubble bags.
im doing a project for art and need some ideas?
The subject is WRAPS so far ive got:
fajitas
wrapping paper
human body
the earth
bubble wrap
but i dont think they are interesting enough... what else is "wrapped"?
Take something we commonly get wrapped, such as candy and then take something that metaphorically could be wrapped. The letters that make up words, Love, Kindness, Friendship, etc and using clear wraps with some kind of candy like logo or knock off printed on the clear paper, wrap the letters.
If life was so simple that you could just pop a friendship into your mouth.
Then, I would go one further. Print out your inspiration as a mini poster to go along with your art. This way there is no guessing.
Or have love on a lolly pop. Kindness as a candy cane wrapped of course.
Hope this helps.
