Moving cherry blossom from pot to ground?
We are just about to move to a house with a garden and are wanting to plant our cherry blossom tree in the garden. Is there a best/worst time to transfer the plant from the pot to the ground?
Cherry Blossom trees bloom early in spring and are susceptible to damage from late spring frosts, the site for growing Cherries should be slightly higher and sloped than the surrounding ground to prevent frosty air from settling in the low spots. Make sure the tree is planted in a full sun location. Shaded areas will limit the growth and production of the tree. Flowering cherries grow very quickly but don't produce blossoms until their fifth or sixth year. They prefer frequent, deep waterings, to encourage deep roots, and do best with a soil pH of around 7. Best time to plant it is in the fall after it has lost it's bloom. Make sure to plant it at least 25ft from any structure (house). Depending on your variety of Cherry Blossom, it can grow 20-30 feet tall with a span of 15-25 feet. Good luck on the transplant. A beautiful choice.

How do I grow a cherry blossom tree?
There's a lovely cherry blossom tree on my street. I want to grow my own tree - from the other one on my street. How do I get one going? Do I cut off a branch? Is there a seed to plant? Does it have to be done at a certain time of year?
Cut a clipping off of the tree and sit it in water for 24 hours, put some black dirt in a planting pot, take a hammer and beat the end of the clipping until it splits(this will make it root better) then put in your pot, if it lives put into the ground
