Why is my coffee cup hotter than the coffee in it?
I am drinking coffee in a ceramic cup. The coffee is very warm but not too hot to drink. It is at whatI would call the perfect "drinking temperature" for coffee. However, it is hard for me to hold my cup because it's bordering on the slightly painful side of hot. I find it odd that my coffee cup is hotter than the coffee within because the only heat that a coffee cup can absorb is radiant heat from the coffee inside of it, making it illogical for the cup to be hotter than the liquid from which the heat originates. EXPLAIN THIS TO ME PLEASE?!
Did you put your coffee and cup in a microwave oven? Some cups will get very hot in a microwave oven, hotter than their contents.

What is the best Single Cup coffee machine available?
I am looking to buy a single cup coffee machine that uses K Cups. Which is the best in quality? Also, I want to take into consideration coffee & tea availability? Etc. What do you recommend?
The best K-cup coffee machine is probably the Breville BKC600XL. It is one step up from Keurig B70, it is very stylish and it also comes with a little device that allows you to use any coffee you like (so you are not limited to what is available in K-cups).
