Assume that the market from coffee mugs is initially in equilibrium at a price of "p" and quantity demanded quantity supplied of "q." The new equilibrium price and equilibrium quantity will be the point where your new supply curve intersects the demand curve (which is unchanged). By graphing it, you will discover that they new equilibrium price will be higher than the old equilibrium price and the new equilibrium quantity will be lower than the old equilibrium quantity. Quantity demanded and quantity supplied at the new equilibrium price will be equal to one another and to the new equilibrium quantity.
