Which resin is best for crystal clear applications?
I want to suspend some paper cut-outs in a block of resin and I'd like the block to be as clear as possible, with no color. Which resin would be best?
You can opt for bi-axially oriented polypropylene. It has excellent transparency and gloss. Another clear resin is polyethylene terephthalate, otherwise known as PET. Hope this helps.

Will DAP crystal clear caulk work for making coasters?
I am using perler beads to make characters that I want to make into coasters. They would not work well with cork since they are different shapes. If I get a square mold, put in some DAP crystal clear caulk plus (dries clear and is flexible), then add my character and wait to dry, would this work for my project? Any other ideas on how to make a coaster? Thanks!
What you need is clear acrylic medium. It's a two part chemical sealer. It can get expensive, so read the label and follow the instructions carefully. I've used it for water effects on train layouts with great results. One company that sells it it www.woodlandscenics.com
