What are some cool animals I could keep in a 10 gallon glass aquarium?
I have an old 10 gallon glass fish tank that I've been thinking about getting out from the garage and getting something to put in it. Fish is the obvious answer... but I think it would be cool to have something more fun. I suppose the biggest issue is that it has to fit in the tank comfortably. And if you can tell me anything about the diet/cleaning/handling requirements for anything you mention, that would be much appreciated.

You could keep fish, of course. Or, if you want something more interesting, try putting some small reptiles in there! Like frogs, snakes, scorpions, spiders, geckos, bearded dragons, turtles...Basically any small animals. Just make sure that if the animal can climb (like my frogs!) you get a mesh lid to go over the top of the aquarium.
I have kept frogs, mice and hamsters in a glass aquarium.
For reptiles, it is very easy to care, feed and clean. You can feed most reptiles crickets, and some fresh veggies. I dust my crickets with protein powder. Fresh water. Clean their area about once weekly. I use a half vinegar half water solution. Same goes for other reptiles.
If you choose a small furry critter, use carefresh litter. Change it once
weekly. Make sure to have fresh veggies, pellets, water, a hut to sleep
in, and a running wheel. *Tip for a wheel: Do not get a mesh wheel. My hamster broke her leg running in one. Get a full covered plastic one, or better yet, try out the "Flying Saucer."
