A poem for a very good friend of mine- Do you understand it?
I see the King of Cups enthroned.
Himself , he sees in humbler guise
Despite the candles in his eyes
Whose light he willingly disowns.
But-those were his fingertips
That dared to touch my leper's skin
And so release the trust within.
Courage was required for this.
Because my star and stone are there
My anchor to the world will moor.
Do all the sad birds at his door
Want to love him?
This is Tarot. To mess with that King of Cups is a courageous thing. An all-seeing king may or may not be loved by anything, much less sad birds.
Yes, I do understand this...the understanding is felt. Such paradoxes you have within this...king/humble...candles/eyes...light/but wishes to remain unseeing...touch/leper...star/stone...drifting/anchor...sad/love.
Intriguing, mysterious.

KMD's Theory of Three Lyrical Kings?
In his book: Theres a God on the Mic: The True 50 Greatest MCs, Kool Moe Dee devoped a theory that rap is cyclical but there is always three lyrical kings that anchor the generation.
According to KMD:
1st Generation: Melle Mel, Grandmaster Caz, Kool Moe Dee (he wasn't the humblest of guys)
2nd Generation: Big Daddy Kane, KRS-One, Rakim
3rd Generation: Nas, Jay-Z, Biggie
if you'll notice each generation is roughly 7 years apart, at the time of publishing KMD hinted that the fourth generation included Eminem and DMX
who do you think deserves to be in the 4th generation? (keep in mind 2000-2001) now that it is 2008 who deserves to be in the 5th generation?
