i think my mom hates me what can i do?
she hits me (and i cant defend myself because im a skinny weakling) and calls me names-lots. pretty bad ones too. she shouts at me when i do the littlest thing wrong like forget to put the dishes away. she says stuff like "whens that bitch coming down to do her chores? shes such a lazy slut."my mom also calls me a slag for wanting to get a haircut or wear lipgloss. i have too wear baggy long shapeless clothes and im not allowed to have emy hair straightened or down because ill be a slag if i do.
shes never interested in the good things i do like get high grades and write stories and poetry and draw.
if i tell her something thats bothering me she just takes the mick out of me instead of being comforting.
im not being funny but im just this 13 yr old girl whos a bit geeky with glasses and top in most classes and i dont know what to do.can somebody help me sort this out??

I'm sorry to hear of your tough situation. It's truly unfortunate that young kids who've merely entered the fragile stage of teen hood often face these kind of circumstances. However, no matter how burdening the situation, do not forget one important thing: in the end, if you keep an open mind, hardships and trials can only make you stronger. Yes, at times it'll be incredibly burdening, however, life only becomes a complete system when good is balanced and measured against bad. And so, they both exist.
Now more specifically to your situation - if your mother truly behaves this way, she's taking you, your life, and even her own, for granted. You're her daughter, and are supposed to be a part of her, and even more: one who grants her greater purpose.
Maintain tolerance, if you allow yourself to become drowned under depression, things will only become worse. Remember that the situation could be far worse, and never turn away from acknowledging any of the good things that are disguised too appear as "bad" or as hardships. It's not because their is something wrong with you - quite the contrary, you're just ahead of others in some important areas. Don't let it affect your self-esteem, trust yourself, and trust what is right and logical - connect with it emotionally. This takes time, profound thinking, and experience. You're good qualities need not be acknowledged by her - they exist and make you a beautiful person regardless of whether ANYONE notices them. It's hard, but sometimes we need to do what is right, and do well in life for the sake that a) it will help improve the lives of those around us b) make you a stronger person etc. and not necessarily for acknowledgment from humans. She should still notice your good qualities. I am just saying, you do not need anyone to tell you when you're doing well in life, in order for it to be true to you.
Finally, don't worry about those materialistic ideals - having to be the most perfect girl physically will never enable you to become complete as you must also mature mentally and spiritually. There is nothing wrong in wanting to take care of your physical self (it's encouraged so long as its channeled in a healthy way), but always make sure it's rooted in your deeper self ---> because you value decency, and self-respect and thus respect of others. So, if others tease you for wearing baggy long shapeless clothes - its their loss as they fail to appreciate you as a full human being.
One day you'll be able to live your own life, for now seek help from relatives who are able, or other services. Seek counseling with your mom if necessary. I hope this is of some help.
