Why is the Star of David involved so much with sacred geometry, and the platonic solids?
I'm not Jewish but I do alot of research with science, physics, math, art, geometry, sacred geometry, architecture, etc and I see the star of david alot especially with sacred geometry, the platonic solids, and architecture. I see triangles involved with alot of things such as pyramids, math, etc and it seems like there are secrets about this symbol. What is the significance of the Star of David? Is it a key, or a portal of some kind? Does it symbolize duality? Love to get a Jewish perspective on this.
It's not. It's just the symbol that, according to legend, David painted on his shield. (Which is why it's called "Mogen Dovid" [David's Shield] in Judaism).
The Star of David doesn't have anything to do with sacred geometry, with "portals," with "keys," or with anything else like that. And it does not symbolize duality; that's a later concept thought up by non-Jewish occultists.
