Wedding Centerpieces : Filling a Wedding Centerpiece Vase
Vase Wedding

Wedding Centerpiece recommendations please?
I am planning to design my own wedding centerpiece; a cylinder vase with rocks/marbles, filled with water, floating petals, and a lit candle. Will the rose petals float to the top? Is fresh, frozen, or silk roses recommended? Does the lit candle melt and destroy the design and will the centerpiece survive for several hours? Thank you!
It depends on how many rose petals you have in the centerpiece. Not all of them can float to the top. Also if you use real petals these will float to the top but the silk ones are a little more dense that you can place them in the vase and they will stay, but the water will cause the dye in them to turn the water the same color as the petals. Frozen petals won't work either because when the wax melts from the candles or they start to thaw they will curl and not look as pretty. Fresh is your best bet. If you get floating candles they are designed to burn in water, and can last for several hours depending on their size. If wax gets on a fresh flower it will dry. This sounds very pretty and best of luck.
